Question 1

What exactly does SkillzBench verify about an agent skill?

Accepted Answer

Every skill version is pinned to a commit SHA, then validated, license-checked, security-scanned, and quality-judged. The results feed a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals. Lift from benchmarking is always shown separately from the rating, and money never touches scores.

Question 2

How does SkillzBench measure whether a skill actually improves my agent?

Accepted Answer

Through the Benchmark pillar: each skill is tested in a sandbox with the same model, run both with and without the skill, and the difference is published as Lift in percentage points. Because conditions are controlled and identical, the Lift is a fair, comparable measure — not vendor marketing.

Question 3

Does SkillzBench support script-bearing skills or only SKILL.md files?

Accepted Answer

At launch, SkillzBench's verification and benchmarking scope covers instruction-only skills — SKILL.md packages plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, so you always know exactly what level of scrutiny a skill has received before trusting it.

Question 4

When can I start using SkillzBench?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now, but the product itself is not yet public. Joining the waitlist gets you launch updates and early access as the Discover, Verify, Benchmark, Equip, and Stay-current pillars roll out.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just searching GitHub for skills?

Accepted Answer

GitHub gives you raw, unverified packages with no security scans, no license checks, no benchmarking, and no way to know when upstream changes break something. SkillzBench continuously crawls and dedupes skills, verifies every version, publishes measured Lift, offers per-agent loadouts through one MCP server, and notifies you when skills change — with a trust score that money can't influence.
