Question 1

How does SkillzBench security-scan SKILL.md skills before we install them?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench's Verify pillar pins every skill version to a commit SHA, then runs validation, license checks, security scans, and quality judging. Each skill receives a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals. Note that launch scope covers instruction-only skills (SKILL.md plus text references); script-bearing skills are listed link-out only.

Question 2

Can SkillzBench manage loadouts across Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini CLI agents?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Equip pillar provides one MCP server plus per-agent loadouts. You toggle skills and tools per agent, and each agent only sees what was chosen for it. The Teams tier is planned to add organization-level loadouts, allowlists, and audit capabilities.

Question 3

How do you prove a skill actually improves agent performance?

Accepted Answer

The Benchmark pillar tests every skill in a sandbox using the same model, with and without the skill, and publishes the Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores — so a sponsored skill can't buy its way to a better number.

Question 4

When will SkillzBench be available, and what does pricing look like?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built; the waitlist and newsletter are live now. Planned pricing includes a generous free tier, Pro at roughly $9-15/mo for more agents and unlimited enabled skills, Teams at roughly $15-25/seat/mo for org loadouts, allowlists and audit, and a Creator tier at roughly $5-10/mo for verified authors.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just browsing GitHub or a skills marketplace for agent skills?

Accepted Answer

Marketplaces list skills; SkillzBench tests them. It's an independent lab — not a marketplace — that dedupes skills crawled from GitHub, pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans and license-checks them, benchmarks Lift in a sandbox, and keeps you notified of upstream changes with automatic re-scans and re-benchmarks. Its independence means money never touches scores.
