Question 1

How does SkillzBench help me evaluate AI agent skills for SOC workflows without introducing new vulnerabilities?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench security-scans every skill, license-checks it, and quality-judges it before it appears with a trust score from 0-100 built on security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals. Every version is pinned to a commit SHA, so you always know exactly what you're running. This directly addresses the finding that roughly of published skills carry at least one vulnerability.

Question 2

What is the Lift metric, and why should a security team trust it over vendor marketing claims?

Accepted Answer

Lift is measured by testing each skill in a sandbox with the same model, with and without the skill, and is published in percentage points. It's always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores — SkillzBench is an independent lab, not a skill marketplace, so the benchmark isn't influenced by who pays.

Question 3

Can I control which skills each of my security agents can see and use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SkillzBench's Equip pillar provides one MCP server plus per-agent loadouts — you toggle skills and tools per agent, and the agent only sees what was chosen. This gives you least-privilege control over your AI agents, similar to how you'd scope identity and access for human staff.

Question 4

When will SkillzBench be available, and what happens when a skill I use gets updated upstream?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built; the waitlist is live now. Once you're using it, the Stay Current pillar tracks upstream changes, re-scans, re-benchmarks, and notifies you — so an upstream update to a security-relevant skill never silently changes what your agent does.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just searching GitHub for Claude Code or Cursor skills myself?

Accepted Answer

Manual GitHub searching gives you unvetted SKILL.md packages with no version pinning, no security scan, no license check, and no quality judgment. SkillzBench continuously crawls and dedupes skills, pins every version to a commit SHA, and publishes measured Lift with the same model in a sandbox — plus an independent trust score where money never touches scores. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, keeping the launch scope to instruction-only skills.
