Question 1

How does SkillzBench security-scan AI agent skills before my developers use them?

Accepted Answer

The Verify pillar pins every skill version to a commit SHA, then validates the package, checks its license, runs security scans, and applies quality judgments. Results feed a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals. SkillzBench is pre-launch, so these capabilities are what the lab is actively building for early access.

Question 2

Can SkillzBench prove a skill actually improves agent performance before we allow it?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the Benchmark pillar tests every skill in a sandbox using the same model, with and without the skill, and publishes the resulting Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores, so you get an objective measure rather than a vendor's marketing claim.

Question 3

What governance controls does SkillzBench offer for security teams managing multiple coding agents?

Accepted Answer

The Equip pillar provides one MCP server plus per-agent loadouts: your team toggles which skills and tools each agent can access, and the agent only sees what was chosen. The Teams tier is designed around org loadouts, allowlists and audit, so security leadership can enforce a consistent policy across Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI.

Question 4

When can my team start using SkillzBench, and what does onboarding look like?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist is live now. Once the product opens, onboarding is straightforward: browse discovered skills, review trust scores and benchmark Lift, then connect your agents through the MCP server and configure per-agent loadouts. Script-bearing skills will be listed link-out only at launch, with instruction-only skills (SKILL.md plus text references) fully supported first.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just reviewing SKILL.md files manually or relying on GitHub stars?

Accepted Answer

Manual review doesn't scale and stars measure popularity, not safety or effectiveness. SkillzBench is an independent lab: it pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans and license-checks each skill, benchmarks Lift in a controlled sandbox, and scores trust from security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals. Because SkillzBench doesn't publish the skills it scores and money never touches scores, its results are designed to stay independent.
