Question 1

How does SkillzBench license-check AI agent skills before we deploy them?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench's Verify pillar pins every skill version to a commit SHA, then runs license checks, security scans, and quality judgments. You'll see the results as part of a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals before any skill reaches your agents. Note that SkillzBench is pre-launch — the waitlist is live and these capabilities are actively being built.

Question 2

Can SkillzBench tell us whether a skill actually improves our agents' performance?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that's the Benchmark pillar. Every skill is tested in a sandbox with the same model, with and without the skill, and SkillzBench publishes the resulting Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, so performance data is never conflated with opinion or sponsorship.

Question 3

Given GDPR and CCPA fines, how do you handle skills that carry security vulnerabilities?

Accepted Answer

Published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability, which is why SkillzBench security-scans every skill as part of verification. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only rather than deployed directly, and the Stay Current pillar re-scans and re-benchmarks skills whenever upstream changes occur, then notifies your team.

Question 4

Is SkillzBench available now, and what will pricing look like?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist/newsletter is live today. The pricing hypothesis includes a generous free tier, a Pro tier around $9-15/month for more agents and unlimited enabled skills, Teams around $15-25 per seat/month for org loadouts, allowlists and audit, and a Creator tier around $5-10/month for verified authors.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just installing skills from GitHub directly?

Accepted Answer

Grabbing skills from GitHub gives you no license verification, no security scanning, and no performance data. SkillzBench continuously crawls and dedupes skills from GitHub, then validates, license-checks, security-scans, and benchmarks each one in a sandbox — and delivers everything through one MCP server with per-agent loadouts, so your agents only see vetted, chosen skills.
