Question 1

How does SkillzBench handle license checks on AI agent skills?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench's Verify pillar runs a license check on every skill version, alongside validation, security scanning, and quality judging. Each version is pinned to a commit SHA, so the license status you see is tied to the exact code you'd deploy — not a moving target.

Question 2

Can SkillzBench tell me if an AI skill is actually improving my agents' output?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that's the Benchmark pillar. SkillzBench is building sandbox testing that runs every skill with the same model, with and without the skill, and publishes the Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings so you can judge performance on its own merits.

Question 3

Is SkillzBench live now, or should I wait to sign up?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built. The waitlist and newsletter are live now — joining gets you early access as the Discover, Verify, Benchmark, Equip, and Stay Current pillars come online.

Question 4

How long does it take to get our agents set up once SkillzBench launches?

Accepted Answer

The design is intentionally fast: connect one MCP server, browse verified skills with their Trust scores and benchmark Lift, then toggle skills and tools into per-agent loadouts. Most of the verification work — scanning, license checks, benchmarking — is already done by the lab before you ever see a skill.

Question 5

How is this different from just pulling skills straight from GitHub?

Accepted Answer

Raw GitHub skills come with no license verification, no security scan, no quality judgment, and no benchmark — and published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability. SkillzBench adds commit-SHA pinning, a 0-100 Trust score from five signals, measured Lift benchmarks, and continuous upstream change tracking, all in one control panel.
