Question 1

How does SkillzBench check the license status of an AI agent skill before we use it in our security operations?

Accepted Answer

The Verify pillar pins every skill version to a commit SHA and runs a license-check alongside a security scan, validation and quality judging. The results feed into a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals, so you can see licensing posture before a skill enters any agent loadout. SkillzBench is pre-launch, so this capability is what's being built and will be available at public launch.

Question 2

We run agents across Claude Code, Cursor and Gemini CLI — can one control panel govern skills for all of them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SkillzBench is built around SKILL.md instruction packages that work across Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and chat-app agents. The Equip pillar provides one MCP server plus per-agent loadouts, so you toggle skills and tools per agent and each agent only sees what was chosen for it — regardless of which client it runs in.

Question 3

What happens when a skill we rely on gets updated upstream — do we have to re-verify it manually?

Accepted Answer

No. The Stay Current pillar tracks upstream changes to skills you use, then automatically re-scans and re-benchmarks them and notifies you of the results. If an update introduces a vulnerability or quality regression, you'll know before it quietly degrades your agents' behavior.

Question 4

Is SkillzBench live now, or how long until we can start verifying our agents' skills?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live, the product itself is not yet public. Launch scope covers instruction-only skills (SKILL.md plus text references); script-bearing skills will be listed link-out only at launch. Joining the waitlist now positions you for early access as the five pillars come online.

Question 5

How is this different from just reading a skill's GitHub repo or community ratings before installing it?

Accepted Answer

Reading a repo tells you what a skill claims to do — SkillzBench measures what it actually does. Every skill is benchmarked in a sandbox with the same model, with and without the skill, and the Lift is published in percentage points, always shown separately from ratings. Because SkillzBench is an independent lab and money never touches scores, there are no paid placements or vendor-curated rankings influencing what you see.
