Question 1

How does SkillzBench license-check agent skills?

Accepted Answer

Every skill version SkillzBench ingests is validated and license-checked as part of the Verify pillar, alongside security scanning and quality judgment. Each version is pinned to a commit SHA, so the license result is tied to the exact code you'd be installing, not a moving target.

Question 2

Is SkillzBench live yet?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built. The waitlist and newsletter are live now, and joining gets you early access when verification, benchmarking and the MCP server become available.

Question 3

What kinds of skills does SkillzBench support?

Accepted Answer

At launch, SkillzBench covers instruction-only skills — SKILL.md packages plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, so you always know whether a skill was fully verified or is simply referenced.

Question 4

How long until I can start using SkillzBench?

Accepted Answer

The product is in active development, so timelines follow the build. Joining the waitlist or newsletter is the fastest path in — you'll be notified as the Verify, Benchmark and Equip pillars roll out, with a generous free tier planned at launch.

Question 5

Why not just vet skills myself on GitHub?

Accepted Answer

Manual vetting doesn't scale: published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability, and upstream changes can introduce risk after you've already approved a skill. SkillzBench automates license checks, security scans and sandbox benchmarking, then keeps re-scanning as skills change — with trust scores and Lift published so you can compare objectively.
