Question 1

What does SkillzBench actually check on an agent skill?

Accepted Answer

Every skill version is pinned to a commit SHA, then validated, license-checked, security-scanned and quality-judged. The results feed a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals, and sandbox benchmarking publishes the skill's Lift in percentage points separately from the rating.

Question 2

How does this fit a security company's compliance obligations?

Accepted Answer

Security operators already manage state licensing, training hour requirements and SLA compliance. SkillzBench addresses the newer risk layer: AI agent skills. It license-checks and security-scans every skill so unverified packages never reach agents handling access control, incident reporting or client-sensitive workflows.

Question 3

Is SkillzBench live right now?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live, but the product itself is not yet public. We do not claim live user counts or published benchmark results; join the waitlist to get access as the five pillars roll out.

Question 4

What kinds of skills does SkillzBench support at launch?

Accepted Answer

Launch scope is instruction-only skills — SKILL.md packages plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, so you always know whether you are installing a vetted instruction package or following an external link to something SkillzBench has not fully verified.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just browsing GitHub for skills?

Accepted Answer

GitHub gives you raw packages with no verification. SkillzBench dedupes what it crawls, pins every version to a commit SHA, runs license checks and security scans, benchmarks in a sandbox with and without the skill, and publishes both a trust score and the Lift — with money never touching scores. It also tracks upstream changes and re-scans automatically.
