Question 1

How does SkillzBench verify a SKILL.md package I authored for Claude Code or Gemini CLI?

Accepted Answer

The Verify pillar pins every version of your skill to a commit SHA, then runs validation, license checking, security scanning, and quality judging. Launch scope covers instruction-only skills (SKILL.md plus text references); script-bearing skills are listed link-out only. The result is a 0-100 Trust Score from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals.

Question 2

What does the published 'Lift' number actually mean for my skill?

Accepted Answer

Lift is the pass-rate delta in percentage points when the same model runs a task with your skill versus without it, tested in SkillzBench's sandbox. It's always shown separately from ratings, so buyers can see measured performance independent of community sentiment — and money never touches scores.

Question 3

Is SkillzBench live yet, and how do I get early access as an author?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live, but the product is not yet public. Join the waitlist now to be among the first verified authors when the Creator plan (~$5-10/mo pricing hypothesis) opens.

Question 4

What happens when I update my skill after it's verified?

Accepted Answer

The Stay Current pillar tracks upstream changes to your skills, re-scans them for vulnerabilities, re-benchmarks them, and notifies you. Each new version gets its own commit-SHA pin, so verification stays accurate as you iterate — no stale badges.

Question 5

Why use SkillzBench instead of self-publishing skills on GitHub with a README?

Accepted Answer

A README is a claim; SkillzBench is independent proof. GitHub publishing offers no security scanning, license checking, same-model benchmarking, or trust scoring — and with roughly of skills carrying at least one vulnerability, enterprise buyers increasingly won't adopt unverified skills. SkillzBench gives your skills a verifiable Trust Score and measured Lift that a repository alone can never provide.
