Question 1

How does SkillzBench verify a data-analysis skill I've published on GitHub?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench continuously crawls and dedupes skills from GitHub. Your skill's version gets pinned to a commit SHA, then validated, license-checked, security-scanned and quality-judged. It's then benchmarked in a sandbox with the same model, with and without the skill, and the Lift is published in percentage points. Note that SkillzBench is pre-launch — the waitlist is live and verification rolls out with launch.

Question 2

What does the 0-100 trust score actually measure for author-verified skills?

Accepted Answer

The trust score combines five signals: security, quality, license, maintenance and community. It's independent of ratings, and money never touches scores — so a paid placement can't inflate your score. Lift is always shown separately from the score so performance and trust stay distinct.

Question 3

Does SkillzBench support script-bearing skills, or only SKILL.md instruction packages?

Accepted Answer

Launch scope is instruction-only skills — SKILL.md plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, meaning they appear with a link to the source but don't get the full sandbox benchmark treatment at launch.

Question 4

When can I actually get my skill verified — is the product live yet?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built. The waitlist and newsletter are live now; the verification, benchmarking and MCP features roll out with public launch. Joining the waitlist puts you first in line for the Creator tier, hypothesized at roughly $5-10/mo for verified authors.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from publishing on ClawHub or a marketplace with ratings?

Accepted Answer

Marketplaces let anyone publish and rate; SkillzBench is an independent testing lab. It pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans every skill, benchmarks in a sandbox with the same model, and publishes Lift in percentage points. With 36.82% of the ecosystem carrying security flaws, ratings alone don't answer the safety question — independent verification does.
