Question 1

How can a security team audit AI agent skills before deploying them to production agents?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench's Verify pillar pins every skill version to a commit SHA, validates it, license-checks it, security-scans it, and judges its quality. Combined with a 0-100 trust score from security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals, your team gets a documented audit trail before anything reaches production agents.

Question 2

Does SkillzBench tell me if an AI skill actually improves agent performance, or just that it's safe?

Accepted Answer

Both. SkillzBench benchmarks every skill in a sandbox using the same model, running with and without the skill, and publishes the Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores, so performance claims stay independent of safety ratings.

Question 3

What happens when a skill we rely on gets updated upstream on GitHub?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench's Stay Current pillar tracks upstream changes, re-scans and re-benchmarks updated skills, and notifies you. That means a maintenance change to a skill your team depends on never enters your environment unreviewed.

Question 4

Can we control which AI skills each individual agent can use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SkillzBench's Equip pillar provides one MCP server plus per-agent loadouts — you toggle skills and tools per agent, and each agent only sees what was chosen. Team-level plans are also planned to include org loadouts, allowlists and audit capabilities.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just grabbing skills off GitHub or a community marketplace?

Accepted Answer

GitHub gives you raw, unvetted repos; marketplaces have incentives to promote listings. SkillzBench is an independent testing lab: it dedupes skills via continuous crawling, pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans and license-checks them, benchmarks them objectively with the same model, and publishes Lift separately from ratings — with money never touching scores. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, so the tested scope is always clear.
