Question 1

What is MCP server discovery and why does it matter for sales teams?

Accepted Answer

MCP server discovery is the process of finding, cataloging, and evaluating Model Context Protocol servers and agent skills before wiring them into your AI agents. With roughly 14,000 MCP servers cataloged in 2025 and quality varying wildly, sales teams need a trusted layer that verifies security, licensing, and actual performance — which is exactly what SkillzBench's Discover and Verify pillars are building.

Question 2

How does SkillzBench protect against MCP tool poisoning and vulnerable skills?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench security-scans every skill, license-checks it, and pins each version to a commit SHA, then publishes a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals. Published research found ~of skills carry at least one vulnerability, so this verification layer is designed to catch risky packages before your agents ever load them.

Question 3

How do I control which tools each AI agent can access?

Accepted Answer

Through Equip, SkillzBench's single MCP server with per-agent loadouts. You toggle skills and tools per agent, and the agent only sees what was chosen — no more hacked-together desktop plugins with no tenancy or access control. The Teams plan adds org-wide loadouts, allowlists, and audit.

Question 4

When can I start using SkillzBench?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now, and the product itself is not yet public. Joining the waitlist gets you early access as the Discover, Verify, Benchmark, and Equip pillars roll out. The launch scope covers instruction-only skills (SKILL.md plus text references); script-bearing skills are listed link-out only.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from MCP registries like PulseMCP?

Accepted Answer

Registries list servers; SkillzBench independently tests them. Every skill is benchmarked in a sandbox with the same model, with and without the skill, and the Lift is published in percentage points — separately from ratings, and money never touches scores. Add commit-SHA pinning, security scanning, and per-agent loadouts, and you get a control panel, not a directory.
