Question 1

How does SkillzBench measure whether an agent skill actually improves performance?

Accepted Answer

Through the Benchmark pillar: every skill is tested in a sandbox with the same model, run both with and without the skill, and the resulting Lift is published in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, so you can judge raw impact and overall trust independently.

Question 2

What kinds of skills does SkillzBench support at launch?

Accepted Answer

Launch scope is instruction-only skills — SKILL.md packages plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, so you can discover them but the platform does not verify or benchmark them in the initial release.

Question 3

How does SkillzBench address the security risks in the agent skill supply chain?

Accepted Answer

Published research found ~of agent skills carry at least one vulnerability, which is why the Verify pillar pins every version to a commit SHA and runs validation, license checks, security scans, and quality judgment. Results feed into a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals.

Question 4

When can my enterprise team start using SkillzBench, and what does rollout look like?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now. Joining the waitlist gets you early access as the pillars come online, and the planned Teams tier (~$15-25/seat/mo) adds org loadouts, allowlists, and audit for enterprise rollout.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just browsing GitHub or a skill marketplace directly?

Accepted Answer

GitHub gives you raw, unvetted packages with no evidence of impact and no version integrity. SkillzBench dedupes the ecosystem, pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans and quality-judges every skill, benchmarks Lift in a sandbox, and gives you one MCP server with per-agent loadouts so agents only see approved skills — plus ongoing upstream change tracking and notifications.
