Question 1

What exactly is an agent loadout in SkillzBench?

Accepted Answer

A loadout is the specific set of skills and tools you enable for a given agent. Using one MCP server plus per-agent loadouts, you toggle skills on or off per agent, and the agent only sees what was chosen. That means your coding agent, your research agent, and your writing agent can each run a different, purpose-built configuration.

Question 2

How does SkillzBench decide whether a skill is safe to use?

Accepted Answer

Every skill goes through the Verify pillar: it's pinned to a commit SHA, validated, license-checked, security-scanned, and quality-judged. The result feeds a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals. This matters because published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability.

Question 3

Does SkillzBench support script-bearing skills?

Accepted Answer

At launch, SkillzBench's scope is instruction-only skills — SKILL.md packages plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only rather than fully verified and benchmarked in-house, so you always know exactly what level of scrutiny a listed skill has received.

Question 4

When can I actually start using SkillzBench?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now, but the product itself is not yet public. Joining the waitlist gets you launch updates and early access as the discover, verify, benchmark, equip, and stay-current pillars come online.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from browsing GitHub or a community skill marketplace directly?

Accepted Answer

Marketplaces list skills; SkillzBench tests them. Skills are crawled and deduped from GitHub, then verified, benchmarked in a sandbox with the same model with and without the skill, and scored on a 0-100 trust scale — with Lift always shown separately and money never touching scores. Plus, per-agent loadouts let you control exactly what each agent sees, which raw listings can't do.
