Question 1

How does SkillzBench measure whether a marketing skill actually improves agent output?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench benchmarks every skill in a sandbox using the same model, running the task with and without the skill, and publishes the Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores, so you see a clean, comparable measure of whether a skill helps.

Question 2

Which agents and skill formats will SkillzBench support at launch?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench supports instruction-only skills — SKILL.md packages plus text references — for agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and chat-app agents. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only. Equipping happens through one MCP server with per-agent loadouts.

Question 3

How does SkillzBench handle the security risks in community skills from GitHub?

Accepted Answer

Published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability. SkillzBench security-scans every skill, checks licenses, validates quality, and pins each version to a commit SHA. A 0-100 trust score combines security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals so you can filter before installing anything.

Question 4

Is SkillzBench available now, and how do I get access?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist/newsletter is live, but the product itself is not yet public. Join the waitlist to be notified when access opens. Planned pricing includes a generous free tier, a Pro tier around $9-15/mo, Teams around $15-25/seat/mo, and a Creator tier around $5-10/mo for verified authors.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from the eight existing agent skills marketplaces?

Accepted Answer

Marketplaces list skills; SkillzBench tests them. As an independent testing lab, SkillzBench dedupes skills crawled from GitHub, pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans and license-checks them, and publishes benchmark Lift in percentage points. Because Lift is separate from ratings and money never touches scores, there's no incentive to inflate a skill's standing — and per-agent loadouts plus change tracking handle the equip and maintenance side marketplaces ignore.
