Question 1

How does SkillzBench measure whether a Claude agent skill actually improves my design agent's output?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench benchmarks every skill in a sandbox using the same model, running tasks with and without the skill, then publishes the Lift in percentage points. That means you see the measurable difference a skill makes before adding it to a loadout — not just a star rating or someone's opinion.

Question 2

What exactly is a per-agent loadout, and why does it matter for designers?

Accepted Answer

A loadout is the specific set of skills and tools you toggle on for a single agent, delivered through one MCP server. The agent only sees what was chosen. This matters because overloading agents with dozens of tools causes decision paralysis — a documented top operational challenge — so a tight, curated loadout keeps your design agent focused.

Question 3

How does SkillzBench handle security and licensing risks in AI agent skills?

Accepted Answer

Published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability. SkillzBench security-scans, license-checks, validates, and quality-judges every skill, pins each version to a commit SHA, and combines security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals into a Trust score from 0-100.

Question 4

Is SkillzBench available now, and what will it cost at launch?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live today. The pricing plan includes a generous free tier, a Pro tier around $9-15/month for more agents and unlimited enabled skills, Teams around $15-25 per seat per month for org loadouts, allowlists and audit, and a Creator tier around $5-10/month for verified authors.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just browsing awesome agent skills lists on GitHub?

Accepted Answer

Curated lists tell you a skill exists — SkillzBench tells you whether it helps. It continuously crawls and dedupes skills from GitHub, verifies each version against a commit SHA, benchmarks the Lift in percentage points, and lets you equip curated per-agent loadouts through one MCP server, with ongoing tracking of upstream changes so nothing goes stale or silently risky.
