Question 1

How does SkillzBench measure whether a writing skill actually improves my agent's output?

Accepted Answer

Every skill is tested in a sandbox with the same model, once with the skill and once without, and we publish the difference as the Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores — so the number reflects performance, not promotion.

Question 2

What exactly is Benchmark-as-a-Service and who is it for?

Accepted Answer

It's our offering for priority runs: instead of waiting in the general benchmarking queue, you get the specific skills your writing workflow depends on tested first. It's built for writers, editors, and teams who need evidence on particular SKILL.md packages before committing their workflow to them.

Question 3

Are AI agent skills really a security risk for writers?

Accepted Answer

Yes — published research found that roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability. That's why SkillzBench's Verify pillar pins every version to a commit SHA, validates the content, checks the license, and runs security scans before anything earns a Trust score.

Question 4

When can I actually use SkillzBench?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now, but the product itself is not yet public. Joining the waitlist gets you progress updates and early access, and Benchmark-as-a-Service customers will get priority runs at launch.

Question 5

How is this different from just reading a skill's README or checking its GitHub stars?

Accepted Answer

Stars and READMEs are marketing; SkillzBench is measurement. We crawl and dedupe skills from GitHub, pin versions to commit SHAs, security-scan and license-check them, and then run controlled same-model benchmarks that publish a measurable Lift. You also get a Trust score from 0-100 built on security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals — none of which a README tells you.
