Question 1

What exactly does benchmark-as-a-service measure for an agent skill?

Accepted Answer

Each skill is tested in a sandbox with the same model, with and without the skill enabled, and the difference is published as Lift in percentage points. This gives you a controlled, reproducible comparison rather than inferred or anecdotal claims about skill effectiveness.

Question 2

How does SkillzBench verify that a skill is safe before benchmarking it?

Accepted Answer

Every skill version is pinned to a commit SHA, then validated, license-checked, security-scanned and quality-judged. The result feeds a trust score from 0-100 built from security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals.

Question 3

Can benchmark results be influenced by vendors or paid placements?

Accepted Answer

No. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores. SkillzBench is built as an independent testing lab, so commercial relationships cannot alter trust scores or benchmark outcomes.

Question 4

When will benchmark-as-a-service be available, and how do I get priority access?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now. Join the waitlist and indicate interest in benchmark-as-a-service to be prioritized for the first priority runs when the service opens.

Question 5

How is this different from just reading a skill's GitHub README or community reviews?

Accepted Answer

READMEs describe intent; SkillzBench measures outcomes. Instead of scattered community opinions, you get sandbox runs with the same model with and without the skill, a commit-SHA-pinned version, security and license scans, and a 0-100 trust score — with Lift reported separately so ratings and performance never blur together.
