Question 1

How does SkillzBench measure whether an agent skill actually improves my marketing agent's output?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench benchmarks every skill in a sandbox using the same model, running tasks with and without the skill installed, and publishes the difference as a Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings and trust scores, so performance claims stay independent from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals. This is what SkillzBench is building for launch.

Question 2

What security checks run before a skill can be equipped to an agent handling customer data?

Accepted Answer

Every skill version is pinned to a commit SHA, then validated, license-checked, and security-scanned, with quality judgments applied on top. Results feed a 0-100 trust score built from security, quality, license, maintenance, and community signals. Note that at launch SkillzBench covers instruction-only skills (SKILL.md plus text references); script-bearing skills are listed link-out only.

Question 3

How do I control which skills and tools each of my marketing agents can see?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench's Equip pillar provides one MCP server plus per-agent loadouts. You toggle individual skills and tools per agent, and the agent only sees what was chosen for it — so your content agent and your analytics agent can carry completely different loadouts. Teams-tier plans add org-wide loadouts, allowlists, and audit capabilities.

Question 4

When is SkillzBench launching, and what happens after I join the waitlist?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist/newsletter is live now, but the product is not yet public, so no live skill counts or benchmark results are being claimed. Joining the waitlist gets you launch updates and early access as the Discover, Verify, Benchmark, Equip, and Stay current pillars come online.

Question 5

Why use SkillzBench instead of just copying skills straight from GitHub?

Accepted Answer

Raw GitHub gives you no verification, no benchmark, and no governance — and published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability. SkillzBench dedupes crawled skills, pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans and license-checks them, benchmarks the Lift, and then lets you equip agents through controlled per-agent loadouts. As an independent lab, its ratings are never influenced by money.
