Question 1

Can I move SKILL.md skills between Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI safely?

Accepted Answer

That's exactly what SkillzBench is being built for. Every skill version is pinned to a commit SHA, validated, license-checked, security-scanned and quality-judged before you migrate it, and benchmark results show whether the skill actually lifts performance on the target agent.

Question 2

How does SkillzBench calculate the Lift for an agent skill?

Accepted Answer

Each skill is tested in a sandbox with the same model, run both with and without the skill, and the difference is published as Lift in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores — so the number reflects the skill, not a paid placement.

Question 3

Does SkillzBench support script-bearing skills or only instruction packages?

Accepted Answer

At launch, SkillzBench focuses on instruction-only skills — SKILL.md plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, so you always know exactly what kind of package you're evaluating before migrating it.

Question 4

When can I actually use SkillzBench for my skill migration?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now. Joining the waitlist gets you early access as the Discover, Verify, Benchmark, Equip and Stay-current pillars roll out.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just browsing GitHub for skills myself?

Accepted Answer

GitHub gives you raw, undifferentiated packages — and published research found ~of skills carry at least one vulnerability. SkillzBench crawls and dedupes skills from GitHub, then adds verification, sandbox benchmarking with published Lift, trust scores from 0-100, and per-agent loadouts via one MCP server.
