Question 1

How does SkillzBench measure whether an agent skill actually improves performance?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is building sandboxed benchmarking that runs every skill with the same model, with and without the skill, and publishes the Lift in percentage points. This paired evaluation approach isolates the skill's actual contribution, giving you a real AI agent performance benchmark instead of anecdotes.

Question 2

What does the 0-100 trust score actually measure?

Accepted Answer

The trust score combines security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals into a single 0-100 rating. Importantly, Lift is always shown separately from ratings, and money never touches scores — so a paid placement can never buy a better number.

Question 3

How does SkillzBench handle security risks in SKILL.md packages?

Accepted Answer

Published research found roughly of skills carry at least one vulnerability. SkillzBench's Verify pillar pins every version to a commit SHA and runs validation, license checks, security scans, and quality judging before a skill is equipped. Note that at launch, instruction-only skills are fully supported; script-bearing skills are listed link-out only.

Question 4

When can I start using SkillzBench, and what will it cost?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist is live now. Planned pricing includes a generous free tier, Pro at roughly $9-15/month for more agents and unlimited enabled skills, Teams at roughly $15-25/seat/month with org loadouts, allowlists and audit, and a Creator tier for verified authors.

Question 5

How is this different from just reading skill READMEs on GitHub?

Accepted Answer

READMEs are marketing. SkillzBench independently pins versions to commit SHAs, security-scans, quality-judges, and benchmarks each skill in a sandbox with and without it — then keeps tracking upstream changes, re-scanning and re-benchmarking as skills evolve, with notifications when something shifts.
