Question 1

What does 'Lift' mean in SkillzBench's benchmarking?

Accepted Answer

Lift is the measured performance difference from adding a skill. We test every skill in a sandbox with the same model, once with the skill and once without, and publish the difference in percentage points. Lift is always shown separately from ratings and trust scores, and money never touches scores.

Question 2

Can SkillzBench help me avoid risky skills when handling candidate data?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that's core to what we're building. Every skill is security-scanned, license-checked and quality-judged, with each version pinned to a commit SHA. You also get a trust score from 0-100 based on security, quality, license, maintenance and community signals, so you can make an informed call before a skill ever touches candidate data.

Question 3

How does SkillzBench handle skills that include scripts, not just instructions?

Accepted Answer

At launch, SkillzBench covers instruction-only skills — SKILL.md packages plus text references. Script-bearing skills are listed link-out only, meaning you can find them but they don't go through our full verification and benchmarking pipeline until deeper support is built.

Question 4

When can I actually use SkillzBench, and how do I get access?

Accepted Answer

SkillzBench is pre-launch and actively being built — the waitlist and newsletter are live now, but the product itself is not yet public. Join the waitlist to get notified as the Discover, Verify, Benchmark, Equip and Stay-current pillars roll out, and early access details as they're announced.

Question 5

How is SkillzBench different from just searching GitHub for agent skills?

Accepted Answer

GitHub gives you raw, unverified SKILL.md packages — and published research found roughly 26% of skills carry at least one vulnerability. SkillzBench continuously crawls and dedupes skills, pins versions to commit SHAs, runs security and quality checks, benchmarks Lift in a sandbox, and tracks upstream changes with re-scans and notifications. It's a control panel, not a search box.
